This is Australia
The seventeenth book is the series has Sasek visiting a land down under. It is characteristic of the later books in the series in that the colours are slightly duller, there are fewer pictures of people, and more pictures of places.
Still it is a solid tour of a big, fascinating country and well worth adding to the collection
In This is Australia, first published in 1970, Sasek swings down under, winging his readers into Sydney, with its famous bridge and space-age Opera House; bustling, modern Melbourne; colonial Adelaide; semitropical Brisbane; the garden city of Canberra; mineral-rich Perth; and Alice Springs, Australia’s most famous outback town.
